Susan Clark was born in Anchorage, AK but was raised mostly in western WA. She could never escape the beauty of the pines, so she settled deeply amid the green and moss to let it influence her work. After earning a BA of Fine Arts/Illustration from Seattle Pacific University, she began illustrating several songbook projects in both Lebanon and Syria during her time spent abroad after graduation. Art continued to be part of her everyday life when she fell into teaching and then as she owned and operated, Suno Henna, a temporary body art business out of Chehalis, WA. In 2021 she pivoted back to fine arts. Susan never lost her love for stories, holding space, participating and telling them, with that illustration background, of course. With each piece that she creates, she hopes you see a part of the story unfolding in your own life.
