These pens are hand-turned on a wood lathe and assembled with a hand-operated press. The pens are lovingly hand-made with various hardwoods. Custom orders are welcome! All sales help me fulfill my dream of having a fully outfitted woodworking studio. Thank you!
I was inspired by the resilience of the longhorn and the everlasting courage of Texas. This piece shows freedom and calm even during a political situation that causes stress. I chose to work in pastels as it has always been a medium I have enjoyed. I felt very at home with my pastels. The tree symbolizes that it is okay to be starkly different. The longhorn shows resilience. The sun shows that everything can be calm in a state of crisis. The barn shows life, a wonderful life. The white of the barn is to show modesty but uniqueness, blandness yet beauty.
