My goal - have fun, let go, and feel good about the creative process. Numerous objects and a variety of techniques produce fascinating textures and shapes when hand-pulled from the press or implemented in my paintings. I am always excited and thankful when others enjoy viewing my images.
I grew up in Okanogan, Washington. My mother and grandmother taught me drawing and painting at an early age. After high school I attended Green River Community College. Then transferred to Central Washington University earning a BA, MA, and Ed Certification and met my husband.
Life became complicated moving around raising two very active boys. Once the boys were in school, I taught art and mathematics for nine years in the Kent School District’s alternative program. I moved to Olympia teaching at Centralia High School and later Oakville where I retired.
Now I enjoy retirement exploring printmaking and painting in my beautiful studio. For about eight years I was a member of The Artists’ Gallery in Olympia. My work is and has been on display in many places local and international. I am also a longtime member of the Olympia Art League.
