I believe that art is the language of transcendence. I create to communicate and connect.
Tai Baxter is a multidisciplinary artist from Appalachia, now based in Olympia, Washington. Her work weaves personal mythology, ancestral memory, and esoteric symbolism into hauntingly intimate visual narratives. Trained in classical realism, she has studied under artists including Juliette Aristides, Grace Athena Flott, and Joshua Langstaff, and is currently in a mentorship program with visionary painter Christopher Remmers. Drawing from a background rooted in storytelling and survival, she explores themes of transformation, loss, and the thresholds between worlds. Through painting, drawing, and mixed media, Tai invites viewers into spaces where the seen and unseen overlap—where memory becomes myth and hidden things are glimpsed.
