Each new stone whether it be marble, soapstone or alabaster contains something completely different. This is what keeps LeeAnn Seaburg Perry carving for so many years. It feels like a new gift. She mostly reveals abstract people, but, sometimes She finds an animal or a complete abstraction.
LeeAnn Seaburg Perry earned her masters of fine arts and sculpture from Pratt Institute in New York. She carves marble quarried in Vermont, soapstone alabaster, and sandstone from many different regions. Her works abstraction of the human form are in private collections in the United States and in many countries abroad.
*This piece is currently on display at the First Stop Art Exhibition until June 13th. Pickup and shipping of purchased artwork will be arranged by the artist at the close of the show.
