Artist Statement:
Alice in Wonderland has such great characters and scenes. I can imagine myself at the tea party, playing croquet with the Queen of Hearts, and talking with the Cheshire Cat. The Cheshire is sneaky and sly and whimsical and seems so fitting in this world today. This piece is a 12x12 reduction linocut print on recycled printmaking paper. This is 1 in an edition of 5.
About the Artist:
Keri of Hooligan Designs is a Pacific Northwest-based multi-disciplinary artist. While her foundation lies in watercolor and acrylic painting, her current practice is rooted in the tactile art of printmaking. Her work is inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, but her creative scope also encompasses mythology, folklore, and original characters.
