Artist Statement:
My Art practice is a sacred portal I enter to transmute both the joyful reverence and heavy pain I feel of this world; a creative alchemy I find most essential. In this realm, I wield many mediums, switching between them to connect with different emotions and elements. I am most magnetized towards watercolor and oil paint as tools to connect & play with symbolism, archetypes, mythology, and mystery.
About the Artist:
Jessai Mae lives & creates in Olympia, WA / Squaxin land. She has sought refuge in the Arts since childhood through poetry, storytelling and visual art making. 2018 began her self-led study of the fundamentals of Art. Ever since, she has been steadily honing her skill, style and artistic voice while laying the foundation of her Art career. When she’s not creating, she’s studying occult sciences, communing with the Moon and natural world, and raising her magickal child.
