Artist Statement:

I painted this because I love elephants. I thought it would be cool to paint an elephant in the nighttime. They are sometimes awake at night. Thank you for looking at my art!

The Mom

Artist Statement:

I asked my mom to sit very still so that I could make a painting of her. She did a crossword puzzle while I made my painting. She was wearing a different outfit but I decided to paint her in all of these browns, tans, and whites. Thank you for looking at my art.

The Dad

Artist Statement:

I painted a picture of my mom called 'The Mom,' and my dad really liked it. So for Christmas, I painted a picture of my dad. I wanted it to be a surprise, so I couldn't ask him to pose for it. Instead I looked at a picture on the computer and painted him from that. This was pretty hard to paint and I got frustrated about it a few times, but I really wanted to finish it and my Dad really likes it which is good.

About the Artist:

Graham is an 11-year old boy who has loved elephants since he was born! Painting and drawing elephants is a favorite activity of his and seeing a live elephant in nature is a life goal. Graham is a homeschool student who spends all of his none-homework time bouncing a ball, practicing lacrosse, or exploring nature.
