Cynthia Walker worked as a fabric artist while attending college and exhibited and sold domestically. She studied Urban Geography and worked in urban planning (Portland, Oregon). She then obtained an MBA and worked in health care management in several states and internationally (Romania, Afghanistan, The Philippines, and Bhutan). Taking early retirement in 2012, she returned to making art a priority.
She started out in watercolors, but more recently works in mixed media, including acrylics, inks, hand painted collage papers and fiber arts. Her work has been accepted into juried shows since 2015 with the Olympia Art League, Northwest Watercolor Society, Collective Visions Gallery, Healdsburg Center for the Arts, the Emerald Art Center, the Leonor Fuller Gallery, the Arts Council of Lake Oswego, the Magnuson Park Gallery, the Peninsula Art League, and Collage Artists of America.
