There are images that come out of my mind and images that I see and just know that I have to paint my version of the vision. Sometimes I am given an image in my dreams while sleeping and other times I am caught by a moment that just blows me away in its wonder and beauty. There is so much out there and in me that I can never see myself running out of inspiration. The challenge is choosing what to focus on. I want to bring thought-provoking, deeply beautiful works of art to others and I hope there will be some who are intrigued and find a sense of wonder in my work.
Bonnie Maria Carson is a visual artist engaging in a practice of many mediums including gauche, watercolor, acrylic and color pencil. She is a native of Texas, which still influences her work. Her formal education is in graphic design but her passion for the outdoors quickly moved her away from the computer and into tactile-based expression. She recently moved to Washington State where she finds more beauty and inspiration than she had ever dreamed possible.
