Artist Statement:
The search for something greater than ourselves is core to the human experience. We are struck with the desire to reach for love, light, and transcendence. Often times we might feel that finding these things is not possible, but what we think is holding us back is usually superficial. Rose’s artwork deals with the space between where we are and where we want to be. The mundane seems to get in the way and take precedence, but what we seek is not so far away. Rose hopes that their artwork encourages people to continue to search for something more.
About the Artist:
Allison Rose studied Fine Art and Art Education at the New Hampshire Institute of Art and graduated in 2018. In search of a more classical art education, she continued her studies at Georgetown Atelier, graduating in 2024. Since then, Rose maintains an art studio practice in the pacific northwest and continues the tradition of classical art by leading her own technique focused classes.
