Equinox art show - call for art
The Copper Wolf and Tumwater Arts invites you to submit artwork that reflects the beauty and balance of nature for a fall art show at The Craft District, held in partnership with Tumwater Falls Fest this September.
The winner of the Community Choice Award decided by the public will receive a prize of local gift certificates and goodies!
Important Details
- What: 2-dimensional original art in any traditional medium or style relating to the theme ‘Equinox’ from artists residing or working in Thurston County. Art must be professionally presented, framed (or painted sides for unframed gallery-wrapped canvas), and ready to hang with hanging wire attached to the back.
- Where: The artwork will be hung in the Tumwater Craft District for the month of September.
- When: September 2-30, 2025
- How: Art will be selected by a blind jury who will judge the work based on creativity, composition, technical proficiency, and relevance to the theme.
Timeline
Deadline to submit art: August 1, 2025
Notification: August 9, 2025
Art Drop off & Install: September 2, 2025
Opening reception + Falls Fest Vendor Gathering: Thursday, September 4, 2025
Show Closes: September 30, 2025
Artist pick up work: October 1, 2025

This show is focused on 2-D artwork that can be presented like a painting on a wall. We don't have the ability to show free-standing 3D sculpture, but relief-type sculpture or other media like fiber and paper sculpture that can be framed and hung on a wall is acceptable to submit.
