The Boardman Tree Farm in Oregon was a frequent stop before its removal. During my visits I was often taken by the intertwinement of our consumption of natural resources and the trees beautiful adaptability. On this breezy day following a big windstorm, I was fighting the elements to capture a preconceived idea in my head. Nothing was working until I changed my perspective. Choosing to be moved by the wind and exaggerate my movements rather than working against it, I came out with a more compelling image capturing the interplay between the wind and the trees along with the tension intrinsic to this manmade landscape.
