George Tanasse is an Olympia, Washington-based artist exploring perception and vivid color through acrylic fine art and structural creations. Inspired by generations of creatives, he blends a photographic eye with the cosmic, unmapped boundaries of abstract expression. A lifelong perfectionist with a degree in Energy Systems Engineering, George discovered that abstract art encouraged him to unravel the constraints of precision, providing a pathway to a light-hearted presence.
George values humor and spinning ideas. He is ignited by the raw energy of graffiti and the brilliance of Electric Blue. George almost always features figures in his work, abstract and ethereal or created from stencils of his own photography. He lives to build off of his grandmother Lisa Baack’s prolific portfolio, where figures to her were “No one in particular, but everyone in essence”.
