This sculpture explores resilience—not as perfection, but as endurance.
The figure is worn, fractured, and weathered. Time has left its marks, yet she continues to lift toward the sky. The gold represents the sun, but also the light of life itself—the hope faith and sacred spark that remain even through hardship.
No longer hiding the imperfections takes bravery. The dirt, moss, cracks, and missing pieces are part of the story. Resilience is not remaining untouched by hardship; it is preserving what is precious despite it.
This piece is dedicated to all women. It reflects the quiet strength required to carry life and light through an imperfect world—weathered, unapologetic, and unwavering.
For more than 20 years, I have shaped decorative concrete, captivated by its journey from softness to strength. It begins like clay—pliant, responsive, and alive in the hands—then transforms into stone, carrying both beauty and permanence.
My work is inspired by this balance of fragility and endurance, reflecting the resilience found in nature, in people, and in life itself.
If it can be imagined, it can be sculpted in concrete.
