Details: Acrylic painting on 16 x 20 inch canvas framed in art deco style closed corner black wood and gold leaf frame.
Symbolism: With a name meaning radiance, Áine is the Irish goddess of summer, wealth and sovereignty. As a sun deity, she is associated with love and fertility. The Himalayan bluetail has flown from far across the seas to sing her a magic song and tell her tales of other worlds. She stores the song in a box beneath her garden of yellow flowers, which softly chime like a million tiny bells in the midsummer's breeze. She unlocks the box with a golden key whenever the earth around her needs reminding of its splendor and joyful nature, releasing the secret song along with her own infusion of love and grace. In her garden she also stores her heart on a bed of moss each evening, causing the sun to sleep until she retrieves it in the morning. Life-giving and abundant, she makes beautiful things grow wherever she goes. 🌼
This is the first in a series of paintings with secret symbols painted behind flowers. Hidden on this one is the golden key to joy, Áine's radiant heart of love, and three more images infused with magic and space-healing intentions to serve as a talisman for the people and places it lives near.
Please note: Colors vary from screen to screen and are represented as accurately as possible. The glossy, protective varnish create interesting, shimmering effects depending on the angle of the viewer.
