Two Lips

Two lungs can sigh a spell for air
emerging, merging, precious, rare

Two feet can sing a spell for earth
for dying death and living birth

Two eyes can raise a spell for rain
while moss and moonbeams wax and wane

Two hands can chant a spell for fire
where give and take and tale conspire

Two lips can summon warmth and light
in clouded day or spring-chilled night

Two lips can summon kindness, true
for you are me and I am you
