I worked 40 years for the State of Washington, the highlight being State Parks Sustainability lead for three decades. Prior to my life in the WA, in post of the 1970s I worked for both Ecological Institute and several National Parks. Throughout those years I was able to study horizons in all types of light! As I paint now it begins with the horizons recalled places, I’ve walked and the had stars to dream under. My experience in nature fuels my artwork. My studio is in a sunny room in my 1930 vintage home. Located in the woods above the Sound Water, I paint with a window full of light. By using my own techniques with paint and ink, my work is unique and enjoyed by others.
