Artist Statement:
As autumn comes, leaves change colors and many plants around us start to fall into their dormant state. But, if you look closely there are still signs of life among the leaves. Here upon the fading life of a small flower, a spider begins to build her web to mark the start of her fall harvest.
About the Artist:
Zia is an artist based in the PNW. Her body of work focuses on capturing small moments that we might over look on the day to day. By illustrating a single subject against a dark background, it highlights the beauty of the plants, animals and small critters around us. She hopes to inspire people to stop for a moment to appreciate the gifts that nature gives.
