Artist Statement:

Kellis Parlett is an artist from Seoul, South Korea, who has dedicated her life to the exploration and creation of both modern and traditional art forms. She attended an arts high school, where she studied traditional East Asian painting while also gaining experience in painting, sculpture, and design. Building upon this foundation, she pursued a degree in Integrated Arts at Kaywon University of Art & Design, specializing in video art and expanding the boundaries of artistic expression. After graduating, she obtained certifications in child art instruction and art therapy, further deepening her understanding of the role of art in personal development and well-being.

Throughout her career, she has worked at a prestigious art center in Seoul, where she curated exhibitions, collaborated with artists, and helped shape immersive artistic experiences. Her extensive experience in exhibition curation allows her to seamlessly blend contemporary and classical artistic elements, continuously pushing the limits of artistic innovation.

Kellis currently focuses on her "Wrinkle" series, a poignant exploration of the beauty of aging. Through this series, she emphasizes the elegance of wrinkles, capturing their essence in different interpretations that resonate with viewers of all ages. Now based in Washington State, Kellis continues her curatorial efforts, collaborating with numerous art associations and organizing exhibitions that reflect her philosophy of integrated art, creating immersive experiences that bridge disciplines and inspire new perspectives.
