Artist Statement:
We are living in a time of deep healing and transformation. This piece is dedicated to anyone who has experienced trauma, especially veterans and those currently serving in the military. I painted this to honor them, and to honor the horses at Healing Hearts Ranch who help support the healing of the veterans in the HeartStrides program. Many of these horses were rescued from abusive situations themselves. I remain in awe of the loving presence these magnificent creatures offer to those who are suffering. It is a privilege to partner with such sentient beings, and I am deeply humbled and grateful during this harvest season.
About the Artist:
Jeannie Bailly is a Fine Artist, Art Educator, Equine Guided Educator, and Counselor living in the Pacific Northwest. Jeannie’s passion for the arts and healing fuels her commitment to supporting others on their journeys of recovery and transformation. She is motivated to “be the change she wants to see in the world”. Her love of art and horses began in childhood. Her creative drive and experiences with horses evolved into a pathway for growth, transformation, and healing in her own life. Guided by her connection to nature and her desire to understand and express her inner world, Jeannie’s work draws from visions, dream imagery, and personal history offering a way to process life events and translate lived experience into meaning. In her studio practice Jeannie continues to explore her internal landscape through art and music, and hopes her work and teaching inspire others to create and heal.
