Artist Statement:
This painting captures a scene of magical celebration, as nature spirits dance under the moonlight. It inspires a sense of wonder at the beauty and mystery of the natural world, even at the small scale of a single mushroom. I painted this during my art residency, where I explored my connection to nature during long walks in the nearby woodlands. My work is deeply inspired by folk art, folklore, and conservation.
