Artist Statement:
Created in acrylic, this painting began as a large experiment—an exploration of unfamiliar techniques, textures, and ways of working with the medium. Through that process, it became something more instinctive: a meditation on spiritual resonance and the quiet feeling of returning to something once known, but forgotten.
The Last Quarter Moon represents reflection, release, and the wisdom gained through experience. Those born beneath this moon are often described as old souls, introspective seekers drawn to understanding, transformation, and sharing what they have learned. The barn owl echoes this energy as a symbol of intuition, hidden knowledge, and the ability to navigate what cannot yet be clearly seen.
Together, moon and owl inhabit the threshold between light and shadow, a reminder that sometimes moving forward feels less like discovering something new and more like remembering something ancient within ourselves.
