Artist Statement:
The title of this piece is "Cyhydnos", which is the Welsh word for Equinox. My family on my mother's side comes from Wales, and I was able to spend some time there recently. With this piece I wanted to intermingle traditional Celtic art with imagery of the Pacific Northwest. This is to show the balance between the sides of my family, as well as the balance between the plants and animals here and those across the ocean.
