I have always been drawn to portals and pathways, due to my own curiosity of where they lead. It seems like every good story starts with a secret door. Through my travels in Europe, I have been drawn to narrow, overgrown, and ancient portals and the stories they could tell. Thus, this piece, and a few like it, have been the inspiration for my latest painting obsessions.
