The Art of Listening - Conversation-Inspired Custom Painting & Poem

Participate in the creation process by having a one-on-one conversation with me and receive a painting and poem inspired by your stories. Gift someone else or yourself the unique experience of having your words and presence transformed into art. I offer a safe digital space and my undivided attention for you to tell me anything you'd like and afterward, I'll send you an original painting and poem on beautiful handmade paper enclosed in a wax-sealed envelope, all inspired by our conversation. 

How it works:

• Conversation: We schedule a 30 minute video call via zoom. I will listen intently as you tell me about anything you'd like, or if you would prefer, I can ask you questions to guide the conversation, similar but not limited to the following:
• Tell me about a recent dream you had.
• Name the first three colors that come to your mind and what they mean to you.
• Name the first three animals that come to your mind and what they would tell you if they could speak. 
• Tell me about a memory from your childhood. 
• What makes you excited? What makes you afraid?
• What do you wish you could say to someone but don't feel like you can or should?
• What's one of the strangest things that's ever happened to you?
• Painting & Poem: When we get off our call, I'll immediately begin painting on gorgeous handmade paper. Then on a separate piece of paper, I'll write a poem just for you inspired by what you've told me. You can feel free to talk about what you hope the art might include during our conversation, but please note that the finished painting and poem will be an intuitive surprise that we can't predict beforehand. In this way, together we make room for the glorious unexpected to arrive. Our most honest, inspired, and heartfelt expression is best left unplanned. 
• Check your mail: You'll receive a package containing the painting and poem enclosed in a beautiful wax-sealed envelope. The paper roughly measures 5 x 7 inches (12.7 x 17.8 cm). 

Please note:The paper and envelope pictured are the same ones I will use for your artwork, but the paintings in the photo are just an example of the type of work I may create and do not represent what your painting will look like. Until we start creating together, we have no way of knowing what magic may arise :)
