This beautifully textured original acrylic painting explores the rolling inner landscapes of thought and emotion. Painted purely from my imagination, the process of quick, dynamic mark-making and slow, thoughtful layering resulted in a piece of intuitive, emotional art that captures the complex essence of precarious contentment. The ethereal, elf-like face slowly emerged from rich teal, pink, and yellow pigments to carry the beauty of this emotion into its future home. It radiates a mystical quality that I hope transports you to a familiar wilderness that leaves you feeling both seen and full of wonder.
This painting was created as part of "The Worlds Inside Us" Collection. Here's an excerpt from the poem that evolved along with this series:
Poetry:
Creatures, captives, colors
We are more than we’d guessed
We are freedom and flight
…or maybe, we’re less,
Like leaves, at our best
Details: Acrylic painting on 4 x 6 inch (10.2 x 15.2 cm) paper + white mat and vintage metal tabletop frame measuring 6.5 x 8.5 inches (16.5 x 21.6 cm) on the outside.

Please note: Colors vary from screen to screen and are represented as accurately as possible. The textured strokes and glossy, protective varnish create interesting, shimmering effects depending on the angle of the viewer.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting my work. Creating this art and sharing it with you is an immense honor.
